| You can control many aspects of the game. The numbered buttons at the top provide a quick way to default the various settings (the higher the button number, the more difficult) which you may then adjust if and as you like.
Display Settings allow you to control the information that appears at the top of the game board. The upper left corner of the game board is the current sequence number, the upper center is the game timer/clock, and the upper right displays the current anchor and direction. Changes to the puzzle will appear until the next tile is selected, unless the item is marked for display in which case it persists. Note that all games are timed for the stats screen, but you may choose not to display the timer/clock. Checking the display chosen box keeps track of each tile that has been successfully chosen. Popup when shaken: Allows you to set how long (in 1/4's of seconds) the popup screen will display when there is a change to the puzzle such as a new anchor or a shuffle. If you set the time to 0 then it will appear until you dismiss the popup by clicking OK Countdown seconds: 0 indicates that the game will not time out. Otherwise, you must complete the game in the time specified or lose that game. Note that the game timer will pause when popup screens appear or when you look at statistics. Game domain: Specify the range of letters or numbers that are displayed. 123456... will display the numbers from 1 until the #of tiles. Likewise ABCDEF... and abcdef... will do the letters starting with A(a). 1-99, AtoZ, a to z will use the the numbers, letters falling within that range. Note that you will not be able to use just lower case letters or uppercase letters for games with more than 26 tiles. You can also select presidents by their order of inauguration; states (either by their admission to the union or alphabetically); months; and the books of the King James Bible. Note that some domain types may be limited to certain puzzle sizes. Start Sorted: Indicates whether the game should start with the tiles displayed in order. The game may change the displayed order if shuffling percentage is greater than 0. Start Seq: If checked, the game will start in ascending order from the lowest valued tile. Otherwise it will start from a random tile in a random order. Color: For Palm OS 3.5+ devices that support color you may indicate that the game is in Black & White, use a single random color, use sticky colors which are random colors that remain with each numbered tile for the duration of the game, or use shuffling colors which change after each selection. |
